The Biomimicry 3.8 Institute is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2005 to promote the study and imitation of nature’s remarkably efficient designs, and to bring together teachers, students, scientists, engineers, architects, and innovators who can use natural models to create sustainable technologies. The Institute’s mission is to nurture and grow a global network of people who are learning from, emulating, and conserving life’s genius to create a healthier, more sustainable planet. Tourism manager and Partner Yehia El Decken set up the initiative of Weekend Trips as an offshoot from the mother company Holiday Tours. They offer biking tours amongst other weekend trips to Egyptians and tourists that allow people to interact with locals, and get engaged in non-traditional travel around Egypt.
Our responsible tourism partners in the White and Western Desert, Khaset Expeditions offers all desert enthusiasts voyages of discovery along the Nile and in the most remote areas of the Egyptian desert that will take you off the beaten track while respecting Egypt’s people and their culture.
